Dodgers prospect, Newbury Park grad Lambo getting back on track

Andrew Lambo walked around the Dodgers clubhouse last week looking at ease, even offering directions on how the vibrating recliner near Manny Ramirez's locker can give you the best back massage.

Just a few months ago, it might not have been a picture anybody, including Lambo, could have imagined.

But during the Dodgers' winter minicamp for minor-league prospects, he has been shaking hands, crushing baseballs and generally looking like he is prepared to make Dodger Stadium his home one day soon.

This past summer, things weren't looking so rosy for the left fielder.

Lambo, a fourth-round draft pick in 2007 out of Newbury Park High, arrived for his first full season at Double-A Chattanooga in April and started to do what he has always done: make life miserable for opposing pitchers.
