Employees at the North Marin Water District in Novato have voted 23-4 to approve an agreement with the district on work conditions and benefits.
The 54 members of the NMWD Employee Association OK'd a two-year agreement that is modified in 11 categories from the old agreement. Among the new items are a trial of flex-time/alternative work schedules, the payment by employees for the costs of benefits if they take an unpaid leave, and an annual cap of $1,500 in dental benefits.
The cost-of-living pay increases will be between 2 and 5 percent effective Oct. 1.
