Parsons Corp., a Pasadena-based engineering construction firm, will serve as a gold sponsor of the Saadiyat Beach Classic, to be held today at Saadiyat Beach Golf Club in Abu Dhabi.
Hosted by golfing legend and course designer Gary Player, the charity event marks the opening of Saadiyat Island's first tourist attraction.
Known as the Island of Happiness, the development of Saadiyat Island is one of the most significant projects under way in Abu Dhabi. When completed, it will be home to 160,000 residents and will include downtown and marina districts, single- and multifamily golf course communities, a number of resort hotels, and world-class museums such as the Guggenheim Abu Dhabi, the Louvre Abu Dhabi, and the Zayed National Museum
