HIGHLAND
Police provide few facts on shooting death

A person was shot and killed early Saturday morning near Primrose Lane and Mossway Street, but sheriff's homicide investigators provided no information as to the name, age or gender of the victim.

The Highland sheriff's station received a report of multiple gunshots fired in the 7900 block of Primrose Lane about 12:50 a.m. Deputies responded to the area, and were flagged down by a resident who told them the victim was laying in their front yard, according to a sheriff's news release.

Paramedics pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
