MENTONE - Redlands East Valley High School boys' basketball coach Bill Berich described Friday night as a "blur" and who could really blame him?
Riding high following their thrilling win over crosstown rival Redlands High School on Wednesday, REV (15-10, 7-5 Citrus Belt League) found itself caught in a 3-point shooting bonanza by Eisenhower High School in a 95-75 loss.
In what Berich called one of the more impressive shooting displays he has seen, the visiting Eagles buried 16 3-pointers from all over the court as they showed why they sit alone atop the league standings.
"If they shoot like that, we aren't going to win," Berich said. "I don't know who is going to win, honestly. It wasn't like we didn't know they could shoot 3's or that we didn't have a game plan."
