Alice M. Dodd, a resident of Redlands, died Aug. 27 at Redlands Community Hospital. She was 88.
She was born April 23, 1920, in La Grange, N.C., to Richard Thomas Merritt and Agnes Virginia Ellis.
She worked as an officer for Security Pacific Bank and later as a real estate agent.
She was a member of the First Congregational Church of Redlands.
Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Lloyd H. Dodd Jr. of Redlands; son Lloyd H. Dodd III and wife Connie; daughter-in-law Birdie Holloway; seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son Stephen Thomas Holloway Sr. and her brothers Arlington Richard Merritt and Ellis Leonidas Merritt.
Visitation is 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 29, at Emmerson-Bartlett Memorial Chapel, 703 Brookside Ave., Redlands. Memorial Services are at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 30, at the First Congregational Church, 2 W. Olive Ave., Redlands, followed by a reception. Burial will be private, at Riverside National Cemetery
