ome Some diners, some lovers, some both

It is clear that modern citizens of Rome have two outstanding passions, one for the general population - dining out - and one for supposed lovers who write mostly unintelligible (it was all Roman to me) messages on everything.

Since Sharon and I were never much for writing on walls, we decided to indulge in the former pastime rather than the latter. Our first experience of eating out in Rome was at the Il Pomodorino (little tomato) restaurant. A great place to dine, outdoors near the remnants of an ancient Roman wall that used to surround the city, (no graffiti yet) and ordered the "suplee" appetizers - a rice ball with mozzarella cheese blended in and then deep-fried to orange colored perfection - recommended by Elio, our bus driver who had great taste as well as great driving skills   Read Full Article...
