REDLANDS - The Redlands Shakespeare Festival will conduct auditions for its sixth season Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 20 and 21.
Auditions are 1 to 5 p.m. both days at the Joslyn Senior Center, 21 Grant St., Redlands.
The 2010 "Season of Remembrance" will feature productions of "Romeo and Juliet," "A Midsummer Night's Dream" and "Hamlet." All roles are open except the title role in "Hamlet."
"We are very excited about our sixth annual season bringing back the three most popular productions from our first five years," said Steven Sabel, founding artistic director.
Festival directors will seek to cast a repertory company of 45 to 50 actors. Auditions will consist of cold readings from the scripts of the three plays to be produced this season.
Rehearsals will begin March 1. Performances will be Thursday through Sunday evenings, May 13 to May 30, at the Redlands Bowl.
"It is going to be a great season for actors and audiences alike," Sabel said
