Three incumbents and one challenger are vying for three four-year seats on the Redlands Unified School District's Board of Education. The incumbents are Ron McPeck, Patricia Kohlmeier and Neal Waner. The challenger is Jim Evans of Forest Falls.

Children staying at San Bernardino International Airport due to evacuations from fire areas received a moment of joy for Halloween Friday afternoon thanks to the efforts of child care occupation students of the Colton-Redlands-Yucaipa Regional Occupational Program.

The San Bernardino County Fire Department is urging caution to people returning to homes in areas that were evacuated.
