Writers like to eat.
It's true. It's right there on Page 2 of the "Are You There, God? It's Me, the Professional Writer" handbook. But, if you skip ahead a few paragraphs, the very same handbook will tell you how much writers get paid. And for that reason, writers need to eat cheap.
Anyone who has spent any time in an institution of higher learning understands the need to eat cheaply. Ramen noodles and grilled cheese sandwiches are as much a part of the college experience as frat parties and all-night cram sessions these days.
The problem is, you can eat only so many microwaved hot dogs before you start longing for something a little tastier - something that will quell your hunger for more than 15 minutes at a time.
Enter: Costco.
Sure, we all know Costco is good for buying about 600 double-A batteries at a time, or finding 5-gallon buckets of mayonnaise
