Anne L. Schulze, a longtime resident of Redlands and member of an early citrus-growing family, died Nov. 14 at her home in Redlands. She was 76.
One of her daughters, Robin Root, said she died as she wanted - surrounded by her family at home. She died after "living with and challenging the lymphoma that interrupted her busy life three years ago," Robin said.
Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Dr. Robert D. Schulze, a local podiatrist; her son Robert C. Schulze of Redlands; daughter Polly Schulze and husband Don Elser of Aptos; daughter Robin Root and husband Terry of San Jose; sister Sue Wilcott and husband Don of Redlands; nephew Chris Wilcott of Riverside; and five grandsons, Daniel Root of San Jose, John Root of Portland, Ore., Brian Root and wife Julia of New Orleans and Brian and Sean Elser of Aptos.
She is also survived by "an army of good and loyal friends," many of whom she has known since childhood.
