Liviu and Claudia Imbir of Loma Linda announce the engagement of their daughter Larisa Imbir to Michael Thomas Gunther, son of James Gunther and Margaret Rippetue of Redlands.
Larisa and Michael met as students while working at Blockbuster Video in Redlands.
They will wed Dec. 21 at Crestmore Manor near Mount Rubidoux in Riverside. Michael proposed to Larisa at Little Corona Del Mar beach at sunset.
The bride-elect is a fourth-year doctor of pharmacy candidate at Loma Linda University. She will graduate in May 2009. She came to the United States from Romania with her family in 1987 when she was 3. Her grandmother will travel from Romania for the wedding.
The groom-to-be graduated from the University of Redlands in 2007, earning his bachelor's degree in biology. He is employed as blood component technician at LifeStream, the Blood Bank of San Bernardino and Riverside Counties.
Michael is the seventh generation of his family in the San Bernardino Valley
