Walter William "Bill" Hughes Jr., founder and former owner of Hughes Loma Linda Mortuary and Hughes Funeral Chapel in Yucaipa, died Nov. 10 at his home in Point Loma. He was 79.
He was born Jan. 1, 1929, in Loma Linda and had lived in Loma Linda for 50 years before moving to Point Loma.
Services will be 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 17, at Tierrasanta Seventh-day Adventist Church, 11260 Clairemont Mesa Blvd., San Diego. Burial will be at El Camino Memorial Park in San Diego.
