Harry Crosthwaite, 72

Harry B. Crosthwaite, a native of Redlands, died Oct. 25 at his home in Banning. He was 72.

He was born June 29, 1936, in Redlands and grew up here, graduating from Redlands High School in 1954.

He earned his bachelor's degree from Oregon State University, his teaching credential from the University of California, Riverside, and his master of education degree from California State University, Fullerton.

He taught math, English and yearbook at Moreno Valley High School for 17 years, and was an ROP administrator for 15 years with the San Bernardino County Schools.

He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and hiking, and he played basketball, baseball, tennis and golf.

His family said he loved his students, co-workers and family.

He is survived by his wife Carol B. Crosthwaite and his son Allan E. Crosthwaite.
