Derek William Lantz, son of William and Sylvia Lantz of Redlands, received his master of arts degree in curriculum and instruction this fall from the University of Redlands.
Lantz graduated from Redlands High School in 2000 and received his bachelor's degree in Spanish from Westmont College in Santa Barbara in 2004. He earned his single subject teaching credential in Spanish from the University of Redlands in 2006.
He teaches Spanish at Rancho Verde High School in Moreno Valley.
