SAN DIEGO - As a freelance illustrator Jerrell Conner would not object to selling a lot of copies of his graphic novel.
But for him it's more than money, it's about telling a story he believes in.
Originally the subject of his college senior thesis, Conner's graphic novel mini-series "Revelations: The Prophets" is based from a story in the Bible involving two prophets and their adventures within an "end-of-days" scenario.
The illustrator's "dark and gritty" style may not traditionally suggest a Christian theme but Conner said it is one of the things that sets his comic apart.
"Basically, Revelations is my take or my interpretation of some of the scenes and some of the happenings in that story line," he said. "The story lines are biblical stories and not really sacrificing the content or the meaning just to make it look pretty."
In July the Long Beach artist made the journey to the San Diego Comic-Con International
