Redlands rivals head to Indiana State -

Quarterbacks Ronnie Fouch and Coy Glass, who competed against each other at their respective high schools in Redlands, will soon vie again for a starting job.

Fouch has transferred from the University of Washington to NCAA Division I-AA Indiana State, said his mother Rhonda Fouch. He leaves for Indiana on Tuesday.

Glass, meanwhile, has transferred from Hofstra University to Indiana State, Redlands High coach Jim Walker said.

Fouch starred at Redlands East Valley, graduating early after the 2006 season. He has spent the past 3 ½ years at Washington, including one as a red-shirt.

"Ronnie, after 3 ½ years at Washington, came to the realization, along with the (Washington) staff, that he needs to play," said Rhonda Fouch, who is also the REV athletic director. "What it came down to is, could he handle another year of being a backup?
