Athletic figures honored - RIVERSIDE SPORT HALL OF FAME: A total of 49 names will be added to the Wall of Distinction.

RIVERSIDE - Forty-nine athletes and contributors from seven sports, including 38 from the Riverside AQuettes synchronized swimming program, will be added to the Riverside Sport Hall of Fame's Wall of Distinction today in a ceremony at the wall's location, at 14th and Market streets.

The AQuettes to be honored include current coach Sue Nesbitt and fellow Olympians Brooke Abel, Tuesday Middaugh Slomovick, Stephanie Nesbitt and Courtenay Stewart.

Also being added to the wall are former RCC track coach Ted Banks, longtime NBA player Coby Dietrick, Olympic cyclist Skip Cutting, former water skiing world record holder Dawna Patterson Brice, longtime scout and youth baseball supporter Jack Carroll, former Poly and RCC football star Marshall Anderson and current major leaguers Anthony Claggett, Tommy Hanson, Dan Runzler and Mark Rzepczynski.
