Na feels at home in desert Classic - Mirjam Swanson

LA QUINTA - Kevin Na wore a wide grin as he walked off the Palmer Private course at PGA West to sign off on his final-round 66 before signing golf balls, hats and visors for little kids awaiting him.

After keeping himself in contention all week with scores in the 60s, the former Rancho Cucamonga resident finished off the tournament by matching his best tally of the week to go to 23-under 337.

That was good for a tie for eighth place (and a $155,000 check).

"I'm hitting it pretty well," said Na, who moved to Las Vegas from Diamond Bar last year. "The putter was rusty last week (when he tied for 52nd at the Sony Open), but I got it together this week, that's why I was able to shoot 23 under. I played really solid."
