UCR women topple Pacific - UCR 71, PACIFIC 59 Morris scores a game-high 20 for the Highlanders.

Alyssa Morris had a game-high 20 points as UC Riverside rallied to defeat the University of the Pacific, 71-59, on Saturday in a Big West Conference game in Stockton.

UCR trailed 33-30 at halftime after shooting 38 percent (13 for 34) from the field and making 1 of 5 three-pointers in the first half.

Pacific shot 37 percent (12 for 32) and made 3 of 12 shots from beyond the arc in the first half.

The Highlanders outscored Pacific 41-26 in the second half despite committing 23 turnovers in the game.

Morris also had a game-high 10 rebounds, while Rhaya Neabors added 19 points for UCR, which shot over 50 percent (30 for 59) from the field and 40 percent (4 for 10) from three-point range in the game.

Brittany Waddell and Marissa Rivera had 14 and 10 points, respectively, along with nine rebounds apiece for the Highlanders (8-13, 5-3 in Big West), who had a 45-29 rebounding advantage   Read Full Article...
