Redlands to play in final -

Jackie Hamilton recorded 20 kills and 30 digs as the University of Redlands defeated Pomona-Pitzer, 27-25, 25-27, 25-15, 25-12, Friday to advance to the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference postseason volleyball tournament title match.

The Bulldogs will host the University of La Verne tonight at 6 p.m. for an automatic berth in the NCAA Division III tournament. La Verne defeated Cal Lutheran, 27-25, 25-15, 21-25, 30-28.

Kelina Smith tallied 57 assists for the Bulldogs (21-5, 12-2). Sarah Amos led Pomona-Pitzer (14-14, 8-6) with 11 kills and 15 digs.

RCC IN WATER POLO FINAL

Shawn Nolan scored five goals and Riverside Community College pulled away late in the semifinals of the Orange Empire Conference men's water polo tournament for a 12-7 victory over Orange Coast College.

Brendan Jones came up huge with 19 saves for the Tigers (17-11), who advance to the final today against Golden West College at 2:50 p.m. at Fullerton College   Read Full Article...
