VICTORY IS TAYLOR MADE - QB Taylor Viloria's two-point conversion lifts Cougars and gives them share of league title

CORONA - Eleven sets of eyes peered into Norco's backfield. For a brief second, the defenders lost sight of Taylor Viloria.

Viloria made the correct read on the option and dived into the end zone to score the deciding two-point conversion with 27 seconds remaining as Norco defeated Corona Centennial, 29-28, in a Big VIII League game Friday night.

Norco (8-1, 6-0 in league) clinched at least a share of the Big VIII League title and earned the league's No. 1 playoff berth. The Cougars' victory also snapped Centennial's 22-game league winning streak.

"That was just a crazy and intense ending," said Viloria, Norco's senior quarterback.

Deantre Lewis scored on a 1-yard run to cut the deficit to 27-26. Norco coach Todd Gerhart decided earlier his team would go for the win.

"We're not playing for any ties," he said.
