Bynum plays big minutes -

BOSTON - Andrew Bynum has so seldom been on the floor in the waning minutes of close games that he admits he had no idea how to react Sunday night when Kobe Bryant fed him the ball in the post on the Lakers' final possession.

"I passed it right back like a hot potato," Bynum said. "I didn't know what to do. I was standing there like, 'Yo, why do I have the ball right now?' "

Since Bryant bailed Bynum out by sinking the game-winning shot to defeat the Celtics, the moment of indecision didn't spoil an otherwise strong 19-point, 11-rebound performance. Twelve of Bynum's points came in the first quarter before the Lakers went away from feeding the ball down low, relying too heavily on Bryant to generate the offense by himself.
