Lakers win in Portland without Kobe -

PORTLAND, ORE. - No Kobe Bryant. No Andrew Bynum, for the entire second half.

No problem.

In a building where they've been smacked around when at full strength, the short-handed Lakers dominated the boards, dominated the fourth quarter and ended their nine-game losing streak in Portland on Saturday night with a convincing 99-82 victory over the Blazers.

Lots of people stepped up to make contributions.

Lamar Odom grabbed 22 rebounds in addition to 10 points and six assists, the latter making him the eighth fastest player in NBA history to reach 6,000 rebounds and 3,000 assists.

Ron Artest led the club in scoring with 21 points, and reversed the game's momentum definitively with three straight three-pointers in the final 1:06 of the first half, giving the Lakers a lead they never surrendered.
