Published on Saturday, December 12, 2009 By The Press-Enterprise Angels reliever Jose Arredondo will have Tommy John surgery on his right elbow in January and will miss the entire 2010 season, the club confirmed to MLB.com's Rhett Bollinger. Arredondo, a 25-year-old right-hander, went 2-3 with a 6.00 ERA in 43 games for the Angels in 2009. He had 47 strikeouts with 25 walks in 45 innings. Arredondo showed much promise as a rookie, posting a 10-2 record and a 1.62 ERA. He had 55 strikeouts in 52 games that 2008 season, spanning 61 innings.
