Cottonwood School in Aguanga has new water storage tank, wells, pump house -

AGUANGA - Dave Farkas and his staff at Aguanga's Cottonwood School are proud of their campus's newest additions featuring a 376,000-gallon water storage tank, two new wells and a pump house.

When students report for the first day of the new school year Monday, they'll see lush grass and a steady water supply for the first time in years, thanks to the wells and pump house. These were installed with the tank as part of a $1.9 million school improvement project at this outlying Hemet Unified School District campus, district officials said.

The wells and pump house should do away with past disruptions in the school's water supply, providing Cottonwood with drinking water, and water for restrooms and irrigation, school officials said.

The tank, along with five new fire hydrants, will provide the school with an ample supply of fire safety water for the first time, said Richard Beck, assistant superintendent for business services   Read Full Article...
