This week the world is watching Denver, and with good reason. For the first time in our nation's history a major political party is nominating an African-American for president, closing a long and electrifying primary season.
I am a first-time delegate pledged to Sen. Hillary Clinton, and can say without a doubt that what cannot come across on television is the mood here on the convention hall floor. Every single person here is dedicated to a common goal: improving the quality of life for all Americans. That is true of both Clinton and Obama delegates.
I have listened intently to news coverage depicting our party as divided, and have been peppered by the press with leading questions about some supposed schism between Clinton and Obama delegates. But, I am here on the ground and do not see evidence of that division
