I read your article "'Annie' performances at Fox reduced" (Jan. 26). It is a shame that Riverside has this wonderful theater and people just don't go. Maybe if the Fox lowered its ticket prices, people would be more inclined to go.

Also, holding performances on school nights does not ensure that students will attend. Most students have too much homework or they are not allowed to stay out late on a school night.

Many theater venues have weekday matinee performances for schools at reduced prices, and they can recoup a lot of money that way. This would also get young people interested in theater and they would in turn tell their parents and more people would go.

Money is very tight right now for everyone, so the Nederlander Organization should understand this and price tickets accordingly.
