Still no Inland visit lined up for Obama -

Three months after Barack Obama promised an appearance in Inland Southern California, his supporters are still waiting.

The Illinois senator has crisscrossed the nation many times over, traveling as far as the Middle East and Europe since he announced his bid for the presidency a year and three months ago. And just this past weekend, he was in Orange County at a candidate forum with John McCain. But his feverish campaign has yet to land in either Riverside or San Bernardino counties.

McCain, meanwhile, has come to the region three times.

While California is generally considered a lock for Obama, McCain has more to gain in campaign contributions by coming to the historically conservative area. But Obama's local supporters still want him to come, if only to show that he isn't taking them for granted and that he has their interests in mind, they said.
