By HOPE PIERSON

Chris Clark, 16, of Murrieta, completed his Eagle Scout project for Temecula/Murrieta Troop 337, where he has been a member for five years. His project was to build an informational kiosk for the Western Riverside County Regional Conservation Authority on the Johnson Ranch near Lake Skinner. The kiosk will provide information on species protection and about the use of the property. Clark designed the kiosk and members of Troop 337 helped with construction. The construction took more than 400 hours to complete. Chris provided lunch to his crew and earned the money by recycling bottles and cans. Chris obtained the rank of Eagle Scout by earning 54 merit badges, 33 more badges than required. He has served in leadership positions such as senior patrol leader and is a certified Boy Scouts of America lifeguard.
