More than 1,600-home Corona project still active -

Corona city officials plan to update the public this month on the progress of a residential development that had been put on hold for years.

The city expects to offer an updated plan of the proposed Arantine Hills project just south of Cajalco Road and west of Interstate 15 during a public meeting at 7 p.m. Feb. 11 at Wilson Elementary School, 1750 Spyglass Drive, Corona.

In a recent presentation to the City Council, city staff said minor changes had been made to the density of housing. A bridge that is part of the project still needs funding.

The Cajalco Road overcrossing would need to be widened and improved for increased traffic expected from the project, and staff said they were exploring ways to pay for it.

The project calls for about 1,621 residences on about 274 acres with some 77 acres of commercial space, 15 acres of parks and more than 36 acres of open space   Read Full Article...
