Worker found dead on a roof in Palm Desert -

A Palm Desert sign worker died Thursday night while working on an electrical circuit on the roof of a building. David Wayne Williams, 37, was found unconscious by a supervisor at the building in the 34300 block of Monterey Avenue, according to the Riverside County coroner's office. Firefighters responded to a report of heat exhaustion, and pronounced the man dead at the scene after an accident at 6:30 p.m. Riverside County sheriff's deputies are investigating the death as an industrial accident. A cause of death is pending an autopsy. No obvious trauma was seen on the man's body.
