University of Redlands swimmers will do their last laps Friday in their efforts to raise money to help victims of Haiti's earthquake. Participants in the "700 Miles to Haiti" event will swim a symbolic final mile at 1 p.m. at the Thompson Aquatic Center. The fundraiser has collected nearly $6,000 so far. Swimmers have covered more than 700 miles -- the distance from the U.S. to Haiti -- since the swim-a-thon began Jan. 25. Proceeds are going to Doctors Without Borders and the International Committee Red Cross. --Jan Sears jsears@PE.com http://pe.com/localnews/fontana/stories/PE_News_Local_W_nb05_swim.350f3ac.html   Read Full Article...
