A woman was killed inside her San Bernardino-area home Wednesday afternoon, followed by the quick arrest of her boyfriend, officials said.
The victim, whose name was not released, was discovered with traumatic injuries at 2 p.m. inside a home in the 24000 block of East Monterey Avenue, in unincorporated San Bernardino.
A person had flagged down a San Bernardino City Unified School District police officer to report hearing a disturbance inside the home and seeing a man and small child leave there and board a city bus.
School police followed the bus and pulled it over at 4th Street and Arrowhead Avenue, a short distance away in downtown San Bernardino. The suspect, whose name was also not released, was arrested without incident, and his child with the victim was unharmed.
San Bernardino County sheriff's homicide detectives believe there may have been a dispute between the couple. No further information was released.
