Justin Timberlake avoided the spotlight and slipped into a front-row seat for the screening of his girlfriend Jessica Biel's short film, "Hole in the Paper Sky," Saturday at the Palm Springs International Film Society's ShortFest.
Meanwhile, Biel and Kirsten Dunst, whose film "Welcome" was also in the festival, did red-carpet interviews and posed for photos.
Dunst arrived in her environmentally correct Prius. Biel dressed in a pearl-grey frock designed by Stella McCartney (Beatle Paul's daughter).
Biel produced and co-starred with Jason Clarke in a story about an introvert whose life is changed by a laboratory dog.
Dunst's first foray as a director was a ghost film made through Glamour Reel Moments, which provides opportunities for more females in get in the director's chair.
The festival continues today with eight films running from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. when the Closing Night Gala will feature award announcements
