The last of three suspects linked to the death of a dog left in a stolen SUV was arrested Wednesday in Corona, authorities said.
Michael Deharo, 27, is believed to have helped 31-year-old Gabriela Briones, of Corona, steal a running SUV with the owner's dog inside from Riverside National Cemetery on Aug. 16.
Deputies found the SUV the next day in Moreno Valley with the 16-year-old wolf-malamute, Rebel, dead on the back seat from the heat.
Briones, who was already in custody on drug charges in San Bernardino County, has been charged with vehicle theft by a repeat offender, receiving a stolen vehicle and felony animal cruelty.
She told investigators that she did not realize there was a dog in the SUV.
Deharo is charged with taking a vehicle without the owner's consent and receiving a stolen vehicle, court records show. His bail amount was set at $150,000
