Readers tell me that the Kabob Hutt, in Corona, is a great asset for Inland fans of Persian food.
Some of my co-workers love it too, and music reporter Vanessa Franko has fond memories of the charbroiled tomatoes that come with many of the entrees.
Kabob Hutt has a pleasant, airy dining room with a high ceiling and a relaxed atmosphere. The menu is long, with choices of salads and vegetarian dishes as well as chicken, beef and lamb.
My friend and I ordered three dishes and found the portions large enough to share family-style.
We had a vegetarian stew called ghormeh sabzi, $6, a delicious house salad accented with dates and raisins for $7, and filet mignon barg. The meat was wonderfully tender, and it came with a mountain of basmati rice topped with saffron.
The beef dish was $15 and near the high end of the price scale. Marinated boneless lamb for $18 is at the top
