Police seek suspect in attack on girl - REDLANDS: Two similar assaults earlier this month in Colton might have been by the same man, police say.

Redlands police are looking for a man suspected of groping a 13-year-old girl in Redlands last week and of committing other sexual assaults in Colton.

A man with a goatee and wearing sunglasses grabbed the girl and attempted to rip off her clothing Thursday afternoon while she was walking on Berkeley Drive, Redlands police spokesman Carl Baker said in a report.

The man was walking the opposite direction near Campus Avenue about 4 p.m. Thursday, then came up behind the girl and grabbed her shoulder, pulling down her shirt and bra, Baker said.

The man fled though an alley in the 900 block of Berkeley.

A man of similar description is suspected in two assaults in Colton during the last month, Baker said.
