BANNING - Banning police are searching for a motorist suspected of trying to run a driver off the road and leading police on a short pursuit before speeding away.
Police said Shawn Denison, 42, of Banning had gone with two women to the intersection of 22nd and Ramsey streets where they threatened to kill another person on the road, according to a Banning police report.
Police said the truck had tried to run the other driver off the road five times before being spotted by police.
Police chased the truck as it weaved across the road, stopping once to let the women out.
Police decided it was too dangerous to continue the pursuit and let the truck speed away, according to the report.
Police have issued a warrant for Denison's arrest. The two women, Melissa Montez, 37, and Melinda Wilson, 45, both of Beaumont, were arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon.
