In the new movie "Semi-Pro," most Will Ferrell fans will be delighted by a scene in which the actor appears to wrestle a bear, a stunt his character attempts to boost attendance to his basketball games.
But Inland region filmgoers in the know will have their eyes on the bear.
After all, Rocky is from the menagerie of Big Bear's Randy Miller, whose Predators in Action company has provided animals for movies, television shows and ads.
"We are known for action," Miller said, and he ranks the wrestling match in "Semi-Pro" as his best.
He had to train the bear to display human characteristics, such as standing and sitting in the corner of the ring.
"It makes it even better."
And even though the attack was staged, not everything necessarily went as planned.
To look like Ferrell's character, "I wore a wig, and the bear got a hold of it and threw me around the ring," Miller said
