LOS ANGELES - Raise your hand if you saw this one coming.
Last game of the Lakers' road trip Monday, Kobe Bryant scores 44 points, passes Jerry West as franchise leading scorer and his team loses.
Complaints surface. Big men aren't getting enough touches.
Anyone who guessed that Bryant would spend a significant amount of Wednesday night at Staples Center passing the ball, well, give yourself an "A" in Kobe-ology.
The Lakers' most prolific points producer didn't take a shot in the first quarter until his teammates had put up 12. The first six times he touched the ball, he looked inside for Andrew Bynum or Pau Gasol.
At halftime, he had three points. The other four starters and two reserves had more. The three front court players -- Bynum, Gasol and Ron Artest had 27.
Starting late, Bryant shot 1 for 7 in the half, and the Lakers were a measly basket ahead of the Bobcats, 49-47
