Voila! Right before your eyes a gallery of mug shots: MayorLuv and the Seven Dwarfs. Click on Councilman Paul Davis. Scroll down, down, down to the part where it says to see more about his 14-point plan. Click on that link and where do you go? To Paul Davis' campaign Web site. Make contributions! Retire his debt!
Is this kosher? Is it right and proper for the official city Web site (paid for by you know who) to provide a link to a money-raising politician? I checked with the Fair Political Practices Commission. Roman Porter, the exec director, said the commish plans to take up "electronic forms of communication" next year.
Hmm. Not much help. I called City Attorney Greg Priamos, who found the topic "definitely interesting," but he wouldn't tell me anything because I'm not his client
