The La Mirada Girls Softball Association's age 10 and under All-Star team will compete in the 2008 "B" Western National Championship, scheduled from July 27 to Aug. 3 at Las Vegas.
The team is managed by Steve Skogen and head coach Evette Barrow. Players include Gabriella Walker, Brigitte Alvis-Labadie, Natalie Hutchings, Kyli Watkins, Alexandria Eastburn, Nicole Barrow, Tia Sanford, Anela Lopez and Maxine Langenberg, Jennifer Brubaker, Monica Navarrete, Ariana Ramirez and Taylor Skogen.
La Mirada previously posted undefeated records in winning the Mirada Madness, La Habra and Torrance tournaments. They finished in second place in the Garden Grove Tournament and in the LA/South Bay District Qualifier. At the ASA Junior Olympics in San Diego, La Mirada finished ninth in the state.
