This season: The Lancers, 11-11-3, finished in a tie for second in the Del Rey League and entered the playoffs as the third-place team in the Division IV playoffs. In the playoffs, La Salle had a 3-2 victory over Lompoc, 1-0 wins over La Canada and Patriot. The Lancers lost to La Serna, 1-0, in the quarterfinals.
What he said: "It was just a matter of getting the girls to believe that they could play."
