This is worse
I reached my century mark just after the party, who claims to be the poor people's best friend, took over our Congress.
It worked! And the party kept their promise. They evidently told the mortgage companies to give loans, even without down payments.
I was shocked at the ads. Money was all but free. "Call us! We have hundreds of thousands of dollars for you." The stock market went wild, asking for cheaper interest, while we, senior citizens, lost a lot of expected income.
Now, should taxpayers suffer the loss? I don't think so.
I went through the Great Depression. This one can be much worse. I'm glad the parties have come together.
