Here are some of Hungry Girl's suggestions for munching without overindulging: Brothers-All-Natural Strawberry Banana Crisps (about $1.19 per single-serving bag)
Great for traveling by plane or car, these freeze-dried fruits have no added sugar or preservatives. They take only a small amount of space and are fuss-free. Look for them in fuji apple, Asian pear, banana, pineapple, strawberry and white and yellow peach flavors at Whole Foods, Costco and Smart and Final.
PER SERVING (one bag, strawberry banana): 45 calories, 0 grams fat, 0 milligrams sodium, 10 grams carbohydrate. Sargento Light String Cheese ($5-$6 for a 12-pack bag)
If you have a way of keeping this cold, consider packing some of this reduced-fat low-moisture mozzarella cheese made with 2 percent milk for a trip. Or if you plan to eat the sticks within an hour or two of leaving home, they'll be fine. Other companies also produce good light string cheese.
