Imagine eating the cuisine of 102 different countries in as many consecutive days. That's what had Noah Galuten, who wrote the "Man Bites World" blog, racing around the Southland for almost four months (September to December ) last year, indulging in lunches, dinners and a few breakfasts without a break.
"The requirements," said Galuten, "were to eat one dish at each place, but at most places I ate more than one dish."
After each meal, he would blog about the food, the cost, the ambience and the company (sometimes he'd dine with up to 25 others).
On a single Chinese day, he ate at eight different Chinese places. He went to only two restaurants twice - a Pan-African place that served foods from Senegal and Kenya - and a Syrian restaurant that served Syrian dishes and on Fridays only the national dish of Jordan.
"My goal was to strive for authenticity, which was often difficult to gauge. I tried to get the closest I could to eating like back in the homeland
