Gimme s'mores

There's nothing quite like yummy, gooey roasted marshmallows and milk chocolate bars sandwiched between two graham cracker squares.

S'mores have been around for more than 80 years, dating back to 1927, when the first recipe was printed in a Girl Scout handbook.

Even after all these years, s'mores are still in style - and not just for campfire cooking. With increased interest in retro, comfort fare, variations on the theme continue to crop up in home kitchens (in cookies, candies, cakes and pies) and restaurants.

"In the last few years, as I've traveled around the country, I've seen the s'mores flavor featured on casual to fancy restaurant dessert menus," says Jody Cook of The Hershey Co.
