The recent decrease in crude oil prices has some area gas stations passing on savings to their customers.
The Fastop at 1010 E.Washington Blvd. in Pasadena has decreased the cost of a gallon of regular to $3.99.
"We were waiting for gas prices to go down,"Manager Anabel Rivas said."The price was low this morning, so we filled our tanks, and now we're passing that savings on to our customers."
James Williams, an energy economist with WTRG, a London, Arkansas based energy consulting firm, believes prices should continue to fall as long as tensions with Iran continue to decrease.
"The concern is that Iran would close the straits of Hormuz," Williams said. "That would cut supply by about eight to 10 million barrels a day."
