Business Briefs: Super Bowl ads to promote census

Faced with record levels of red ink into the foreseeable future, Washington is spending $2.5 million to create buzz for the census - by advertising during the Super Bowl. The Census Bureau is hoping to exploit the strong ratings from this annual attraction, aiming to get more participation from people who now seem disinclined to mail back a government questionnaire or even answer the door.

JPMorgan CEO gets hefty stock bonus

JPMorgan Chase and Co. CEO Jamie Dimon received a stock bonus valued at nearly $16 million for 2009 after steering the big bank through the aftermath of the financial crisis, the company said Friday. Dimon's bonus carries several restrictions and can be recouped by the bank at any time and for any reason.
